Description

Chatou was the birthplace of the “fauvism”. This fabric under the hand of Vlaminck is an explosion of colors. Vlaminck, was here in these suburbs in the west of Paris, one of the pioneers of this kind of painting which influenced the twentieth century so much.

This painting makes it possible to see the developments of the artist. If you compare other piecesof similar theme, you can see that he has discovered and studied the techiques of Cézanne in terms of the treatment of the colors and the tonalities.
